Purchase / Convert eSIM

New Customer

Purchase a new eSIM via SoSIM eShop or WeChat mini-program store from $33. Upon purchase completion, a QR code and respective activation procedure will be sent to customer via email.
For use in a smart watch, please purchase "Smart Watch eSIM" (click here for purchase guide and details).

Current Customer

Follow the guide to convert your existing SoSIM to eSIM ($28 handling fee) OR from eSIM to physical SIM ($48 handling fee).

Upon activation of new SIM, the previous SIM in your original device will be invalid, while account information will remain unchanged (including mobile number, account balance, purchased package and reward). According to Government regulation, customers shall complete real-name registration again to use prepaid service in Hong Kong.
Reminder: Service is applicable to primary SIM only, not applicable to supplementary SIM.

**iPhone Users** Apple "eSIM Quick Transfer"

Customers using Apple device can follow the steps to transfer eSIM via Apple in-built function, at $28 handling fee.

Reminder before eSIM Quick Transfer:

Please ensure your device meets the following requirements. To transfer from your original device to new device, both shall meet the requirements:
- Support eSIM (with iOS 16 or later versions)
- Logged in with your Apple Account
- Connected to Wi-Fi
- Turned on Bluetooth and both devices are held nearby
- Original iPhone has been unlocked with the device passcode
SoSIM account has sufficient stored value for related service charge. Service charge will be deducted immediately
Service is applicable to primary SIM only, not applicable to supplementary SIM.

Method 1: Transfer a physical SIM or eSIM on your original iPhone to an eSIM on your new iPhone

On your new device, go to Settings > Cellular > "Add eSIM"
Tap "Transfer from Nearby iPhone"
On your original device, check for instructions to confirm the transfer. If the system asks for a one-time verification code, enter the code displayed on your new device
On your new device, choose a cellular plan to be transferred. Read the service package details, related terms and conditions, then click "Agree" to accept and continue with payment
Wait for your eSIM to be activated on your new device and click "Done"
Return to Settings > "Cellular" to select and use your new eSIM

Method 2: Convert a physical SIM to an eSIM on the same iPhone

On your device, go to Settings > "Cellular"
Tap "Convert to eSIM"
Tap Convert Cellular Plan > "Convert to eSIM"
Wait for your eSIM to be activated on your new device and click "Done"
Remove the physical SIM from your device, then restart your device

Physical SIM ⬌ eSIM Conversion

Please follow the steps to convert your existing SoSIM to eSIM ($28 handling fee) OR from eSIM to physical SIM ($48 handling fee).

Log in SoSIM App / website My Account portal, select setting > "Convert to eSIM / Physical SIM" to start conversion
To convert to eSIM:
When purchasing eSIM, enter email to receive one-time password, redemption QR code will be delivered via email. You can scan the eSIM QR code to install and activate new eSIM
To convert to Physical SIM:
When purchasing Physical SIM, fill in delivery information (i.e. recipient name and Hong Kong mailing address). Physical SIM will be delivered to your verified mailing address at least 1 working day after successful payment, actual delivery time may vary depending on various factors. After receiving your new physical SIM, you can insert the SIM into mobile device to activate

Transfer eSIM to New Device

Please follow the steps to convert your existing SoSIM to eSIM, at $28 handling fee.

Log in SoSIM App / website My Account portal，select setting > "Convert to eSIM" to start conversion
