Insurance Service Registration Guide:
  1. Log in SoSIM account and go to Rewards > My Coupons
  2. Select the Insurance Plan Redemption Coupon, read terms and conditions, then click "Redeem Reward"
  3. Enter Applicant’s personal information (English full name, mobile number, email and ID)
  4. Read and tick to accept service package details, related terms and conditions
  5. Confirm and submit your registration
  6. Insurance service will be activated upon successful registration for 24 months (based on calendar days). You can also receive an insurance activation message with a unique reference number delivered by Domain5 to your email address registered for insurance redemption for claim reference
Travel data SIM validity is 730 days upon SIM activation.
Global Travel and Hong Kong Data will be instantly activated after successful purchase for 730 days on 24-hour basis; bonus insurance service will be activated upon successful registration for 24 months, based on calendar days.
Suggest registering for insurance service on the same day of SIM activation, or SIM validity will be shorter than the insurance service validity. You may need to recharge to extend your SIM validity to continue to use the service.
Terms and conditions:
  1. Registration is required within the coupon validity to activate your insurance service. Late registration will not be entertained.
  2. Eligible customer must register with a Hong Kong Identity Card or passport and no change shall be made after registration. The insurance service is not applicable to person holding the People's Republic of China passport and travels to / within China, unless he / she has an official document issued by an overseas Government (other than China) as proof of legal residency in that country, but is travelling with a passport of the People's Republic of China.
  3. Each customer holding a valid identity document is eligible to redeem ONE travel insurance service only under all HTCL brands. For multiple purchases of Global Travel Pro Pass, duplicate registration by the same individual (as identified by the identity document) will not entitle the customer to additional or duplicate travel insurance coverage.
  4. After successful registration, an insurance activation message with a unique reference number will be delivered by Domain5 to your email address registered for insurance redemption for claim reference.
  5. 24-month travel insurance service policy is arranged by Domain5 and underwritten by Zurich Insurance Company Ltd (a limited company incorporated in Switzerland) ("Zurich"). Zurich reserves the right of final approval and decision on travel insurance. Insurance service is only applicable to a journey from Hong Kong to covered destinations listed on the related insurance policy, with a maximum coverage period of 45 days per journey. The free travel insurance offer is subject to the terms and conditions apply. For the terms and conditions and the exclusions of the travel insurance, please refer to the Benefit Summary.
  6. Promotional offers, discount and cash coupons are not applicable to Global Travel Pro Pass, unless otherwise specified.
  7. SIM card must still be valid to use Global Travel Pro Pass and related insurance service. If the card has expired, all related services will be cancelled and non-refundable. Zurich is not responsible for the termination of insurance services due to the lapse or termination of the SIM card.
  8. Global Travel Pro Pass and related insurance service are not refundable for cash, will not be reissued or replaced if lost, deleted or used by others.
  9. SoSIM, Domain5 and Zurich reserve the right to modify the terms or terminate the offer at any time without prior notice.
  10. In the event of any dispute, the decision of SoSIM, Domain5 and Zurich shall be final and conclusive.

Turn OFF "Incoming Calls while abroad"
In Home > Setting > Incoming Call Setting after logging in, turn OFF "Incoming Calls while abroad" to get rid of annoying calls and unnecessary travel voice charges.
**iPhone Users**
Turn OFF iOS "Live Voicemail"
Suggest turning OFF function via iPhone Setting > Phone > "Live Voicemail", to avoid real-time capture of voicemail which incurs travel voice and data charges.

Turn ON "Travel Data Auto-activation"
Travel Data Auto-activation is enabled by default for new SIM.
You can follow the activation guide below to update settings for your selected data pass (Home > Roaming Service) for instant activation upon arrival.
Cannot connect to network?
Reset Internet Connection
In Home > Roaming Service after logging in, select your data pass in use and click view details > "Click to Reset" to reset travel data service.
Then restart your device to connect to mobile network. If still unable to connect, please try to remove SIM card and insert again.

Travel Data SIM Auto-activation Setting

New Ai Travel SIM comes with Auto-Activation enabled by default, allowing your travel data pass to activate instantly upon arrival. If you are using a 5-Day Asia Pacific Travel Data SIM and have unused passes after your trip, or if you have purchased multiple data roaming packages, you can modify your Auto-activation setting* using SoSIM App / My Account portal to accommodate your travel needs.

Warm reminder: Simply enable "Data Roaming" and "VoLTE" services in mobile device and turn off Wi-Fi upon arrival at covered destinations, travel data will be available for use and start deducting immediately. If you are using dual SIM device, it is suggested to set Ai Travel SIM as the main card in the settings and turn on the roaming mobile data.

* This function does not affect travel data validity. Once travel data is activated by connecting to covered network, its validity starts counting even if Auto-activation is switched off.
